The Decemberists by Autumn de Wilde Exhibition Opening

Dave Bias, | 845 days ago

Wednesday, January 26, 3pm
Impossible Project Space
425 Broadway
5th Floor
NYC

We are pleased to present a unique collaboration between two of our favorite artists: music photographer Autumn De Wilde and the band The Decemberists. Both legends in their own right, they have joined forces to produce a special limited edition box set for The Decemberists new album, The King is Dead.

The Impossible Project gave Autumn 2,500 exposures of the last remaining stocks of the experimental chocolate, blue and sepia Polaroid peel apart films. She shadowed the band during the recording of their new album, intimately capturing thousands of precious moments on this distinctive film. Each box set will feature a one of a kind Polaroid from the experience.

This stunning celebration of analogue photography and rock music will take place this Wednesday January 26 from 3 to 7pm. Autumn De Wilde will be on hand to present and discuss 50 of her stunning original Polaroids for first time at our gallery. Also, members of The Decemberists will also be stopping by as our very special guests. Come to the space to check out the exhibit, talk to the artists about their work, and celebrate the endurance of analogue photography.
